Heritage Healthcare Center HIV / AIDS & Hepatitis

     Heritage HealthCare Center is committed to providing cutting-edge medicine and advocacy to our patients and provides a full-scale of state-of-the-art HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis care and support.

     The Heritage HealthCare Center for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Services provides multidisciplinary comprehensive and state-of-the-art HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C care, support, prevention and sexual health.  Patients have a choice of board certified providers and a range of services that are available under one roof.

Services include:

  • Rapid HIV testing by appointment, provider visit(s) or during walk in hours.

  • Pre-Post HIV/AIDS Counseling, patients will receive one on one patient education and support to answer any questions about medical treatment and needed services like insurance coverage (ADAP), government benefits and preventative care.

  • Primary medical care consists of comprehensive, quality medical care with experienced HIV specialist providers.

  • Mental Health: Individual counseling, psychotherapy and annual psychosocial assessments with knowledgeable and sensitive licensed clinical social workers.

  • Medication adherence counseling provides support and education about HIV infection, prescribed medications, and side effects.

  • Care Coordination offers information, assistance and referrals regarding benefits and entitlements, including insurance, housing, and referrals to other supportive services.

  • Sexual Health Counseling helps identify risks for HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and create an individualized risk reduction plan both to promote your health and minimize possible harm regardless of current HIV status. Sexual health is a human right.

 

HIV and Hepatitis C Testing Services Include:

     The Heritage HealthCare Center for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Services provides warmhearted, confidential treatment of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in addition to the services below:

  • HIV Case Management and Patient Outreach and Navigation Services

  • Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (Prep) and Post Exposure Prophylaxis to Prevent HIV Infection.

  • Individualized Referral Services

  • Hepatitis C Diagnosis and Treatment

     The Heritage HealthCare Center for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Services physicians are well versed in the care of patients with HIV and/or viral hepatitis.  Dr. Milano and Dr. Wildfeuer each have thirty (30) years of experience, and Dr. Williams has seven (7) years of experience in HIV and Hepatitis B&C.

     Patients at The Heritage HealthCare Center for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Services receive the full range of care, including personalized medical therapy with the latest medications and monitoring to ensure their well-being and continued care.

     You do not have to be a patient at The Heritage HealthCare Center for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C Services to get PrEP.  All patients are encouraged to walk in for HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C consultation services Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 4 pm.  We look forward to providing you care in a welcoming environment.

Dr. Danielle Milano, MD, Chief of Medical Affairs

 

     Danielle Milano, M.D., joined Heritage as our new Chief of Medical Affairs in February of 2020.  She brings with her thirty years of experience as an Internist and HIV specialist and is responsible for program development and instituting new quality programs at Heritage for HIV, diabetes and hypertension.

     A long-time New York resident, Dr. Milano graduated from New York University School of Medicine, completed her internship at Case Western Reserve University in Ohio and her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.  Dr. Danielle Milano has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 1990, and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Medical Center.

 

Dr. Olga Wildfeuer

     Dr. Olga Wildfeuer joined our organization on April 4, 2020 and is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and HIV Medicine.

     Dr. Olga Wildfeuer who has trained and worked as a Nursing Assistant, Registered Nurse, and now as a Medical Doctor is permitted by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to prescribe Suboxone for persons who are affected by opioid addiction.

     Dr. Olga Wildfeuer life’s work can be characterized by the way she cares for the needs of others, within the parameters and scope of the different communities and societies she has lived and whom we serve.

Dr. Kerah Williams.jpg

Dr. Kerah Williams M.D.

     Dr. Kerah Williams is a Family Practitioner at Heritage HealthCare Center in Central Harlem.   Dr. Williams obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and Medical degree from Ross University.  Dr. Williams completed her residency training at Harlem hospital, SUNY Downstate University and Kings County Hospitals. 

 

     Dr. Williams’s medical research at both Columbia Presbyterian and Harlem Hospital culminated in a publication on Bladder Cancer in the Journal of American Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Williams conducted HIV research at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda.  Prior to her medical career, Dr. Williams worked as mental health counselor, high school teacher and real estate title closer.  Currently, Dr. Williams’s professional goal lies in providing HealthCare for the community in Central Harlem.

Dr. Ari Benjamin, MD, Internal Medicine

 

     Dr. Ari Benjamin is an Internal Medicine Physician at Heritage HealthCare Center in Central Harlem.   Dr. Benjamin obtained a Bachelor’s degree from The City College of New York and a Medical degree from Ross University.  Dr. Benjamin is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is trained to diagnose and treat an extensive variety of diseases and illnesses in adults.

     Dr. Benjamin was born into a family of hard workers and a family that was always engaged in helping others and giving back to their community to improve the lives of others.  Dr. Benjamin inherited that spirit of community and was eager to go to medical school to fulfill his life’s dream. That dream included being able to make a positive difference by serving the community Central Harlem.
